Does the IPHC have an official definition of religious persecution?

To my knowledge the church does not have an official definition of religious persecution. The closest we have is associated with the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) concerns for the persecuted church (see www.persecutedchurch.org). IPHC does recognize that Christians are persecuted on a number of fronts from physical harm to legal and economic harrassments and discrimination to slavery in certain portions of northern Africa. Jesus warned us not to be surprised at persecution and we believe that any Christian should not be surprised but trust in the Lord’s provision and perhaps deliverance in the hour of persecution.
