Yes, the inverter has 6 built in safety features! Input safety features: • Over Voltage Protection Automatic shut off when input exceeds 29V DC • Under Voltage Protection Automatic shut off when input is less than 11V DC (Automatic recovery for shut down condition) • Opposite Polarity Protection The fuse, inside the cigarette plug, will pop when opposite polarity occurs. Output safety features: • Short circuit/surge protection Automatic shut off when short circuit/surge protection occurs • Over load protection Automatic shut off when output power exceeds 100W. (Re-insert the cigarette plug to restart the inverter for shutdown condition) • Over Temperature Protection Automatic shut off when circuit temperature exceeds 65C 5C.
