Does the International Space Station use metric or imperial components?

0

With the exception of the United States, the other countries that participate in the International Space Station program use metric measurements. NASA has standardised on metric measurements since its inception. So all participating members of the ISS program use the metric system – hence all components of the ISS should be metric. It is interesting to note that, according to NASA, one of the reasons their 1999 Mars Climate Observer failed was because one of the sub-contractors used imperial measurements in its software.
