Does the installation of the WattManager® affect the lamplight intensity ?

There are many factors involved and needs to be considered. The majority of the HID lamps will reduce their luminosity by 30 to 40% during their rated half-life. Rated half-life is the amount of time it takes for half the quantity of lamps to extinguish. The HID lamps are only 30 to 40% bright as when they were first installed in the half that is still remaining lit. By installing the WattManager® and adjusting the unit to save 18-25% on new lamps, the brightness will be reduced by 4- to 8%. As a byproduct of the lower nominal voltage and power consumption, the line temperature will be lower and will result in an increase in lamp and ballast life in the range of up to 50% or more with existing fixtures. Lamps near the end of their rated life may not stay lit once the WattManager® switches into saving mode. It is recommended to replace these old lamps before installing the WattManager®. They are already almost 50% less bright. In the navigation “Product Specifications” is Eye Perception
