Does the increased flow restriction of the Mega Filter cause additional stress on the plumbing causing the entry of air?

The only place that additional suction force is applied is AFTER the additional filter. In other words, when installed as a secondary unit, between the pump and the Mega filter. In reality there is very little restriction added to the system. The restriction has been measured before and after the filter, and shown to increase by approximately .5hg to .75hg on a new filter. The actual restriction numbers will vary depending on fuel level and other factors. As an example, there is approximately a 1hg. difference from the full tank level to 1/8 tank level.
