Does the i-mate™ JAM have a backup battery?
Yes, it has separate rechargeable backup battery 25mAh. It works only when you remove the Main Battery and it will last for about 20 to 30 minutes, assuming it is fully charged. Note 1: Before using your Device please make sure to charge your i-mate™ JAM for at least 8 Hours for the first time (this is required for the Backup Battery to fully charge). Note 2: When the very Low Battery Warning message appears, immediately save any data you are working on, perform a synchronization with your PC, then turn off your JAM. If your device does shut down, the Backup portion of your main battery will protect data for 72 hours. To view the Battery status : Start > Settings > System > Power Always keep the Power level for the Backup Battery greater than 50%. The back up battery will charge up from the main battery under normal circumstances.
