A The HDC-1000 is designed to work with USB storage devices that are able to be addressed by Windows as a USB Mass Storage Device. In short, this means that the storage device does not require a 3rd party driver. Some units, although they might appear to not require a 3rd party driver, may in fact require drivers that were included with your PC, or included with the operating system. These devices are typically not compatible with the HDC-1000.
