If the fee is for credit hour classes taken through a public institution of higher education the fees for such courses would be exempted, fees for courses taken through alternative certification programs (such as those offered through Region Service Centers), fees for certification testing, fees to obtain a state teaching certificate, and fees for educator certification courses at independent (private) institutions are not exempted.
