Does the Harlequin RIP support calibration curves for specific devices?
Yes, Global Graphics Software provides a tool called SetGold that alters the linear response of a device thereby optimizing the tone curves to an ideal state prior to color characterizing. This data is captured in what is called a “gray balance” or “golden state” profile for digital devices such as inkjet, dye-sublimation or toner based digital presses. In addition, actual press sheet measurements can be gathered, and by entering data via the calibration manager or through Global Graphics’ calibration application called Genlin, you can build custom curves for each colorant.
