Does the hand that rocks the cradle rule the world?
The world is not, for the most part, run by those whose cradles were rocked with the most love and skill. The reality may be that the hand that doesn’t rock the cradle very well actually rules the world. The best nurturing generally results in an individual’s becoming emotionally whole and of superb integrity. The most well adjusted people have self-control, love their families enough to do what is right by their families (rather than what they feel like doing), and respect others. The most whole people have a sense of dignity and self-respect as well. People who are well adjusted and whole are people who don’t need their egos boosted to the point where that drives their relentless pursuit of fame, wealth, or power. People whose cradles have been rocked with the right kind of love and skill are people who will put others’ needs first (in a healthy way, not in a way that reflects lack of self worth). The best nurturing results in any number of traits and values that can often be seen am
