The GRE revised General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills that are not related to any specific field of study. However, the ETS® Personal Potential Index (ETS® PPI), which is available free of charge to all individuals who register to take the GRE revised General Test, does measure noncognitive skills. • ETS PPI is an innovative, web-based evaluation system that gathers structured feedback from multiple evaluators who know the applicant on six key personal qualities that graduate and business school deans and faculty have identified as essential for successful graduate study.
