Does the grade of steel used make a difference?
Conforma Clad can be applied to most steels, and the particular grade of steel does not affect the cladding properties (there are limitations on austenitic stainless steels due to their high coefficients of thermal expansion). In many cases, the substrate is required to have certain minimum mechanical properties, and these requirements can determine what grades of steel are suitable.
