Does the Government pay for Canadian athletes to attend the Paralympic Games?
The Federal Government makes significant contributions to the CPC. These contributions allow the CPC to fulfill their mandate of coordinating all aspects of Canada’s participation in the Paralympic Games. Typically, Sport Canada, through the Department of Canadian Heritage, has provided the CPC with a third to half of the funding required in sending the Canadian team to the Paralympic Games.
