Does the government funding provide all the money required to complete Chimp Havens facilities?
No, the federal funding requires matching private funding. Chimp Haven must match at least 10% construction costs and 25 % of the operating costs. In addition, federal funding does not cover the cost for the privately-owned chimpanzees living at the sanctuary, the education program, or additional staff, equipment or supplies.
