No, the Gorillapod SLR-ZOOM does not have a quick-release plate like the other two Gorillapods. The SLR-ZOOM was designed for use with a ball-head or professional tripod head, so we didn’t include a quick-release plate. However, you are NOT required to use it with a ball-head. You can still use the SLR-ZOOM model with your camera simply by screwing it into the tripod mount.
