Yes, like GN Netcom’s other wireless products, the GN 9125 uses the 1.9 GHz DECT frequency and Digital Spread Spectrum (DSS) technology. Hopping frequencies 90 times per second in search of the clearest unused channel, DSS delivers the best sound and the tightest security. 64-bit encryption provides an additional level of security in all GN Netcom wireless products. This symmetric key encryption works like a secret code where only the headset and base know the code. On top of that, the GN 9125 uses smart power management to extend battery life. In doing so, the signal is only as strong as it needs to be in order to reach the base station. Since the signal isn’t broadcast beyond that range, it cannot be picked up outside of that area.
