Does the FUELMiser MPX work on older/higher mileage vehicles?
Generally, it may take a little longer to see the positive results on these vehicles. This is due to the nature of the technology itself since a cleaner, hotter combustion starts to clean-out carbon & varnish deposits. This “cleaning-out” may tend to contaminate the combustion during this initial process. However, as the system gets cleaner, your mileage will start getting better. And you should also experience easier starts and a smoother running engine. In limited situations where the fuel system is very dirty, initial results may show a decrease in mileage during the initial “cleaning-out” period. Remember this is temporary and will get better as the clean-out progresses. Generally, depending upon the degree of carbon & varnish buildup that existed in the engine, the clean-out period may take as little as 500 and as many as 3-4,000 miles to complete.
