There is a slight increase in exhaust temperature of about 10-20F due to the increase in engine backpressure. The Proventia insulation that is installed on the exhaust tubing between the engine and the FTF is designed to keep the heat in the exhaust so that the FTF will burn itself clean, however this insulation does not cause the engine exhaust temperature within the engine to be hotter.
