It seems unlikely that there is any kind of large 4th spatial dimension, or we would already know about it (unless for some reason interactions with the large extra dimensions are suppressed or forbidden, which is possible). String theorists think that several extra dimensions may exist, but they are small and “curled up” so that we do not notice them.
