The use of VAC or a second sound card is not a function of the hardware, but is a function of FlexRadio PowerSDR. At this time there is no change in the VAC functionality found in FlexRadio PowerSDR. The FLEX-5000A does make it easier to use an external sound card for digital modes with the line-in and line-out audio connections on the back panel.
