Does the film Law Abiding citizen represent alienation or isolation or both, in any way?
The film, ‘Law Abiding Citizen’ starring Gerald Butler as a husband who watches his wife and daughter being murdered helplessly before his eyes, holds such strong and passionate ideals precious to many in modern age society. His only connection with the cummunity is his lawyer, in order to convict the men responsible for the death of his family. But Butlers character is left with the feeling of betrayal as his lawyer makes a deal with the murderers in order to maintain such a high conviction rate. Bulter’s character is left to go on his killing spree and believes the legal system is corrupt. What i would like to know is, is this film an example of isolation, and can it be linked to the concepts of ‘alienation and isolation.’ Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
