Does the festival have an audience award?
A. The festival audience is encouraged to rate the films they have viewed on a scale of 1 to 5. The collated results are announced at the end of the festival. Festival representatives will hand one voting card to each valid ticket-holder. The voting card will contain clear instructions on how to vote for the best feature-length fiction film, best feature-length non-fiction film and best short film screening in the festival. The voting card will be divided into five sections, marked one (1) to five (5). The audience will be asked to tear the appropriate section according to how they rate the film they have just seen: 5 = excellent; 4 = very good; 3 = average; 1 = below average; 1 = poor. Films screening in Australian Short Film Awards, Opening and Closing Night are not eligible for the audience vote.
