Does the FE-230 support a Macro mode?
Yes. The FE-230s Macro mode has an operating range of 3.9 to infinity (wide) and 23.6 to infinity (telephoto). This means you can focus on a subject as near as 3.9 (.1 meters) when the Zoom is set to its extreme Wide Angle and as near as 23.6 (.6m) when the Zoom is set to its extreme Telephoto. To use Macro mode, first press the shooting mode button (red camera icon). Turn the mode dial to any mode except [GUIDE]. Next, press the Macro mode button (flower icon on the arrow pad) to launch the Macro mode menu. Use the Up or Down arrow to select the Macro icon (flower), and then press the [OK] button to activate the selection. The Macro icon will be displayed on the LCD to indicate that Macro mode is active.
