Does the equipment ever fail or misread?
The enforcement equipment has passed a vigorous requirement necessary to obtain Home Office Type Approval. The electronic speed limit signs can be subject to external loss of power, or component failure within the sign itself. However, should any one of the individual indicators on the overhead gantries fail, the enforcement operation associated with that particular gantry is suspended until all of the indicators on that gantry are 100% operational.
