Does the educational system (curricula, exams) at the faculty qualify the students for their future careers?
A. Yes. In every country in the world, students and graduates should get tailored training in order to be qualified for the job they want. A pharmacy graduate, for example, could become a community pharmacist, teacher, medical representative or researcher or work in the pharmaceutical industry. Our system qualifies the graduate for all these fields, but there must be fine tuning after graduation. Our curricula, regarding quality and quantity, are enough as evidenced by the fact that our graduates passed the Pharmacy Licensing Exam in different countries from the first run. Therefore Faculty of pharmacy, Cairo University qualifies their students through curricular and extra-curricular activities for their future careers. Actually, in the last few years we have made many changes to our courses and teaching methodologies, but we still need to remove some redundancies in some courses as well as reduce the amount of knowledge and enhance the practical parts, especially in medical and clinic
