A. No the economic assessment model represents everyone. Q. Why is the economic model regional rather than community-based? A. Data availability is too scarce in small communities to be able to calculate community-based results. When assessing the overall economic implications of a land use option, the results are calculated for the region as a whole. That said, we can run various before and after scenarios and calculate the impact of a single development by turning that development on or off and running the model again. We can then make certain assumptions about which community would benefit most due to proximity, labour and services availability, etc. Q.
