Does the drug Dostinex work on a pituitary tumor or is there a better drug?
• I have recently completed my 12th cycle of Temodar on a schedule of 5 days on, 23 days off. I am now contemplating continuing this chemotherapy, because I feel it has kept me from having a reoccurrence. I hardly have side effects when taking it and my blood counts have always been good. Does anyone have experience taking Temodar beyond a 12-month cycle? If so, please share your experience. • My father had surgery for a glioblastoma on July 3rd, 2007. He was told it was totally resected and then he began radiotherapy and chemotherapy (Temodal). Radiotherapy ended in October, 2007, and then he started taking Temodal, 300mg 5 days on, 23 days off. Moreover, he’s taking Dexametasona 4 mg/8hours and Depakine (antiseizure) 500mg/8hours. He has had 4 seizures on these dates: 24 November (17:00) 19 December (17:00) 11 January (10:30) 20 March (10:30) Our questions are: He wasn’t taking the antiseizure med every 8 hours (I took it with the food at 9:00, 15:00 and 21:00) Can this be the cause
