Yes. In fact, the “sweep” money market fund is the core of your Dreyfus Lion Account®. Deposits, including investment dividends and proceeds from any sale, first go into your sweep money market fund. All proceeds in your “sweep” money market earn interest daily, until they are transferred as directed by you. You can access these funds automatically when you write a check, use your debit card or use these liquid assets to invest in mutual funds or individual securities. Other withdrawals, such as bill payments or transaction fees, are also deducted from this account.
