Does the Draft Queensland Coastal Plan apply to islands?
The proposed coastal zone includes Queensland coastal waters (which extend three nautical miles out to sea). Islands within these limits are included. Only islands or parts of islands within the coastal management district are subject to assessment by the Department of Environment and Resource Management as a concurrence agency.
