Does the DJB charge any rent towards installation of meter? What is the amount?
Answer In case, the meter is provided by the DJB, a rent is chargeable. In case, the meter is private owned, no rent is chargeable. The meter rent for different categories of connections is different. The rent is payable for functional meters on monthly basis and is included in the water bill of the consumer. The rent chargeable is Rs. 10 per month in case of water meters of normal 15 mm size (domestic use).
