Does the District really spend $40,000 each month on cell phones?
(posted October 2, 2009) No. Despite comments to the contrary, the District does not spend $40,000 each month on cell phones. The District uses cell phones for daily communication and emergencies. Last school year, the District went to bid and changed cell phone providers. In previous years the District’s average monthly cell phone costs exceeded $4,500. The District now pays less than $4,000 per month.
