Does the District have seagrass maps of the southern Indian River Lagoon?

Yes. Southern Indian River Lagoon seagrasses are mapped every 2 to 3 years as part of the Indian River Lagoon Surface Water Improvement and Management Program. Indian River Lagoon seagrass maps are available from the north St. Lucie County Line to the St. Lucie Inlet for 1986 and 1989. Seagrass maps are available for the area of the lagoon between the north St. Lucie County Line and the Jupiter Inlet for the following years: 1992, 1994 and 1996 (a 2001 map is expected to be completed by the end of September 2002). Please contact Becky Robbins (561-682-6287) if you have questions about the seagrass maps.
