Does the design need a particular font?
If the only visual information you give a developer is a comp, that really can’t convey whether you used a particular font because you wanted that font and only that font, or if there’s wiggle room. Flash has two special font families that are essentially “when any sans serif font will do” or “where any serif font will do.” If the developer can use one of these font families, many of the text handling issues go away, so be sure to communicate if you’re not wedded to a particular font. Another advantage is that the file size will go down and the file will perfom better.
