Does the Department of Environment issue any construction permits?

Sandblasting, chemical washing, and grinding all require permits from the City Department of Environment. You may apply for these permits in person at the Department of Construction and Permits or on line at www.cityofchicago.org/environment. In addition, you must notify the Department of Environment ten days before beginning any demolition work. Please call (312) 744-8026 with any questions or to request forms for demolition notifications.
