Does the CWS provide housing for Identified Internship Programs?
The CWS Identified Internships Program does not provide housing for identified internship programs. However, some internships require students to live on-site. Internships that require on-site living include the Asian Rural Institute (ARI) in Japan, Center for Cross Cultural Learning (CCCL) in Morocco, Aga Khan Education Services (AKES) in Uganda, and all sites in India. CCWS arranged housing is mandatory at these sites, and the CWS will subtract the cost of housing from the $5000 earned by students interning at these sites. Lumpkin Program participants will receive housing due to the structured nature of the program and additional responsibilities of the seminar component. The CWS will provide workshops to assist participants with the housing search in all other programs.
