Does the cross trainer/elliptical trainer promote weight loss?
It isn’t as good as a treadmill, but is very similar. There is not much excessive pressure on the joints as opposed to a treadmill (which, to be honest, doesn’t have that much, no matter how intensely you work). Like a treadmill, it works the core muscles, and can be used as at low intensity and high intensity. As you probably know, you can use it with your hands and without. It is better to use it without your hands, as this can create better posture, and increase the work on your lower body. The ideal thing to do is to mix it with using your hands and without for maximum effectiveness. It’s up to you whether you use a treadmill or the cross trainer. They are similar, but the treadmill you actually run, whereas the cross trainer only stimulates running. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
