Does the CPC set minimum coaching standards for Paralympic coaches?
The CPC is committed to providing the best possible coaching support for Canadian athletes travelling to Paralympic Games. In order to ensure that this occurs, CPC has implemented a minimum certification requirement for coach participation in Paralympic Games (Summer and Winter). Coaching certification requirements for the Paralympic Games have been utilized since the 2004 Paralympic Summer Games in Athens, Greece, and the policy is currently being revised and updated in partnership with Coaches of Canada in preparation for Beijing 2008.
