Does the County own and maintain a right of way along county roads?
Not all roads have the same right of way width. In subdivisions platted many years ago, there are often narrower rights of way dedicated to the public than in more recently platted subdivisions. The right of way width that was dedicated to the public on the original plat is the right of way that the County has, unless more area has subsequently been deeded to the County. As noted above, if a road has a county road number, it is not necessarily maintained by the County.
