Does the County have any Building Codes? Do they have a building inspector?
In August of 2008 Lawrence County Adopted the 2006 International Building Codes, The International Residential Code for One and Two Family Dwellings, Chapters 1-10 and 43; the International Property Maintenance Code; and the International Mechanical Code. The County adopted these to help protect the tax payers of Lawrence County, however we do not have a Building Inspector to enforce these codes at this time.
