0

The Council has a number of emergency plans which are continually reviewed and exercised. The driving force for emergency planning is the Council’s Emergency Planning Forum. All Departments liable to respond to major emergencies are represented on the Forum which meets regularly to discuss contingency arrangements, exercises and incidents. The Council is also a member of the Strathclyde Emergencies Co-ordination Group which membership comprises representatives of Local Authorities, Emergency Services, Health Boards, Military and Utilities in the Strathclyde Police area.
