No, the council maintains only the highway network that is adopted as public highway, this is the majority of the roads and pavements throughout the borough but excludes those which are maintained by Transport for London and private owners. Transport for London maintains the A406, North Circular and the A40 Western Avenue for the Department of Transport. These are trunk roads.
