Does the CORD ESS control the Westside North ESS?
While the Westside North ESS is responsible for assisting people in an emergency in our area, are in control of the programs in the Westside North area, and are free to set and execute meetings, local training sessions and local information sessions, we do report to the CORD ESS Coordinator, Beryl Itani. This is important in that your local ESS team is not “a loose cannon”. We are part of a much bigger entity, in that we belong and are part of the Provincial Emergency Program (PEP) of BC.
