Does the colossus of Rhodes still exist?
No. The Colossus stood for only 56 years, and was toppled by an earthquake in 226 B.C. The broken statue remained in place, but was no longer in evidence by the 8th Century A.D. One account relates that Arab conquerors hauled it off for scrap in the 7th Century, but the consensus is that it had disappeared long before, a bit at a time.
