Does the color of the diamond effect the price of the diamond?
Color can impact the value of a diamond. However, just what impact it will have is dependent on the color. The most common color for a diamond is yellow. So, the more yellow the diamond, the less value it will have. Ideally, you want as little yellow in the diamond as possible. It is to this particular color that the color grading scale refers. However, diamond can come in other colors as well. They can come in colors like pink, green, and blue. These colors are much rarer than yellow or even colorless. Because they are rarer, these colors actually increase the value of the diamond. So, unlike yellow, the more intense these colors are, the greater the value of the diamond.
