Does the CoCasa algorithm adhere to the ACIP recommendation?

0

The CoCASA algorithm strictly adheres to the ACIP recommendation that the 4th DTaP be given with a minimum age of 12-months, and 6-months past the 3rd dose. The “minimum” interval table in the ACIP schedule (but not in the official Louisiana Immunization Schedule) includes a footnote that a 4th dose of DTaP given 4-months after the 3rd dose “need not be repeated.” The ACIP does NOT call this is a “valid” or “invalid” dose. It simply states that the dose does not have to be repeated.
