Does the CMX2x8 support Xon Xoff flow control?
A. Xon, Xoff flow control is a software method that regulates the data flow between two terminals that are operating at slightly different transmission rates. This permits asynchronous communication, which means faster data throughput because of the decreased data redundancy. The only time redundancy occurs is when a buffer overflow is imminent at the receiving end. The CMX2n8 can be switched from hardware flow control to software flow control using the Hayes command AT&K4.
