Does the City of Lansing provide residential trash service?
Yes. Waste Reduction Services has different choices to fit individual needs. Our bag program is a “pay as you throw” service. As you fill your bags, set them out at curbside on your pickup day. The cost for trash service is included in the cost of the bags. City of Lansing bags can be purchased at many area convenience and grocery stores. The blue bags come in packs of 5 for $9.00. The City of Lansing also offers convenience carts to use with your blue trash bags for a refundable deposit of $30. The other type of service the City of Lansing provides is the Blue Billy Trash Carts.
