The City of Fayetteville does not have a business license. However, there is a requirement that each business operating within the city limits have a Certificate of Zoning Compliance. This is obtained through the Fayetteville Planning Division. The phone number for the Planning Division is (479) 575-8267. The office hours are Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Yes. The City Council passed on Business Registry and License program on September 7, 2010, but it will not go into effect until November 2011. Until then, businesses will need to continue completing Certificates for Zoning Compliance, which are available through the Planning Division.
