Does the Center offer courses for gifted or academically talented students?
Yes. The Center offers several challenging courses designed for academically talented middle school and high school students. These courses are designated “Gifted Course” in the course description. If you are unsure whether a course designated as “gifted” is appropriate for you, please contact MU High. For more information, see the high school gifted courses. We also have special topics courses for middle school students; these are listed with the courses for grades 6 8. Hints for Selecting Courses for gifted or academically talented students MU High has a wide array of courses with unique topics—including some designated for gifted students. Independent study provides gifted students an opportunity to take charge of their learning by selecting high interest courses and self-pacing their lessons.
