The SETI Institute, parent organization for the Carl Sagan Center, has an annual summer program for undergraduate students, the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program in Astrobiology. Per the SETI Institute website (http://http://www.seti.org/epo/reu/): current sophomore or junior undergraduates can apply to work with scientists at the SETI Institute and at the nearby NASA Ames Research Center on projects spanning the field of astrobiology from microbiology to planetary geology to observational astronomy. This year’s class is just concluding.
